Seeking to evolve from their existing brand, BBRC aimed to reshape their public image and build confidence in a broader audience. the challenge

By 2022 BBRC's website required a serious overhaul, both visually and functionally, to align with their impactful regional initiatives. Despite their significant achievements, their messaging and online presence did not reflect the quality or impact of their work, necessitating a full upgrade and modernisation to showcase their credibility as a community changemaker.

Positioning was a critical focus, with BBRC aspiring to appeal to both purpose-driven corporations, the third sector and inverters alike. Their branding at the time felt generic and characterless, no longer resonating with the desired audience. The new brand needed to feel progressive and dynamic, and also be inclusive of their diverse customer base, while facilitating fundraising and deployment activities.

our approach

Our approach to the project involved creating a comprehensive brand identity, establishing a visual language with an inclusive brand kit consisting of logo lock-ups, iconography and illustrations. At the core was BBRC's people-centric approach and regional knowledge, differentiating them from other organisations in the investment space.

Through overlapping shapes, vibrant colours, and interlinking forms, we conveyed collaboration, inclusivity, diversity, and the power of networks. The tone was positive and uplifting, aiming to bring warmth and humanity to the world of investment.

In partnership with RH&Co and Strike Communications, we crafted clear and cohesive messaging that aligned BBRC's vision for the organisation, fostering a shared sense of purpose and values.

The new brand was seamlessly integrated across multiple touchpoints, including their annual impact reports, transforming data into digestible information, using captivating illustrations and infographics.

The website redesign has improved user experience, accessibility, and lead generation, with clear signposting tailored to social enterprises, start-ups, and investors. This holistic approach not only elevated BBRC's brand and profile, but also enhanced their overall communication strategy, solidifying their position as a leading impact investor and place based changemaker in the South West region.
